How do I find my belt size? The easiest and fastest way to find your belt size is to take your current pant size and add 2 inches. For example if your favorite pair of Levi’s are a size 38” waist, you would order a size 40”. Please check out our complete sizing guide here.
When can I expect my order to be shipped? Orders are shipped 3-7 days after the order has been placed. We do not ship on the weekends.
Is shipping free? Yes! On everything? YES! We offer free USPS first class/ground advantage on all our orders. Expedited shipping is offered for an additional cost.
Are your products made in the USA? We are extremely proud to call ourselves an American company, but even more proud about the fact that our products are made in the USA, employing American craftsmen & experts across our operation.
Where is Artifex based? We operate, ship, and manufacture out of El Paso, Texas, the Bootmaking capital of the world.
I have an existing buckle I want to use on a belt, can the belt buckle be easily switched out? Absolutely! Are belts are crafted with snap closures, allowing our customers to snap the belt open and swap buckles in seconds.
Can I exchange a belt for a different size? YES! Belts can be exchanged for a different size if the request is processed in the allotted time. Each belt order contains a return/exchange sheet that you will mail back with the belt. Note: Buyer is responsible for return shipping. Used or worn belts will not be accepted and shipped back to the buyer.
How do I exchange/return my items? In the box where you received your item, included is a return sheet, please carefully read & fill out this sheet. All terms & instructions for returns/exchanges are detailed on the sheet, if you did not receive one, or you have misplaced it, you can find it here .
Why does the item I received look different from the picture? All our belts are made from genuine leather and every animal is unique, no two alligators will be identical. You may receive an item that features a different animal pattern than the image of the product on the website.
Does Artifex make custom belts/watch straps? We do! Please message us with as much information as possible regarding what you want made and we will quote you.
Can I return/exchange custom order products? Artifex does not exchange/refund/return custom made items, including watch straps that have been customized & ordered on the website.
Does Artifex use real leather in their products? All our leather is genuine and sourced from reputable dealers/tanneries. We never use faux or embossed leather to make any of our products.
What does Artifex mean? Artifex is a Latin word that means artist, craftsmen, master. Our products are made by a handful of craftsmen in small batches, to ensure that every one of our customers wears something we are proud of, and something our customers will love for years to come.
